Building a Luxurious Supplement Brand from Vision to Shelf

Winged Horse Supplements approached us with a clear vision: to create a high-end equine and canine supplement brand that would stand apart in a highly competitive market. I was tasked with developing the brand identity, packaging designs, and a visual direction that conveyed performance, quality, and prestige.

Project Overview

Winged Horse Supplements are crafted using the finest natural ingredients, cutting-edge science, and deep equine nutrition expertise — aimed at racehorses and working dogs requiring peak performance. The brand needed to immediately communicate trust, luxury, and excellence to both professional trainers and discerning owners.

I was entrusted with creating the logo, developing short brand guidelines for the client’s social media team, and designing packaging across multiple product formats — from pails and jerry cans to syringes — while liaising directly with manufacturers to meet their technical requirements.

My Approach

The brand identity started with a bold, elegant logo: a stylised winged horse, combining strength, freedom, and aspiration. The symmetrical wing forms and clean, structured lines project a sense of power, grace, and balance — values that mirror the elite quality of the products.

For the colour palette, the client had chosen purple as the primary brand colour. To enhance the premium feel, I introduced a rich gradient background that shifts from deep violet to soft lavender, creating a luxurious, modern aesthetic.

Typography was carefully selected — a classic serif typeface paired with clean, minimal secondary text — to evoke sophistication while ensuring readability across all applications.

Packaging designs were tailored to different container types and sizes, ensuring brand consistency while adapting to practical manufacturing and labelling requirements. Every label was developed with attention to both visual impact and regulatory compliance.

To support the brand’s wider rollout, I created a short brand guidelines document covering logo usage, colour palette, typography, iconography, and social media styling — giving their in-house marketing team the tools to maintain consistency across digital and printed platforms.

Results

Winged Horse Supplements now has a powerful, distinctive brand that positions them strongly within the premium equine and canine health markets. From the logo to the packaging and social media materials, every element was designed to communicate quality, performance, and trust — fully aligning with their vision of crafting supplements for champions.
